Fun Facts

The best advice Dr. Ravi has received is that “happiness stems from doses of gratitude, love, and living in the present moment.”

The most interesting place he has visited is the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he was able to experience the local culture by eating authentic Malaysian food.

Not everyone knows this about Dr. Ravi, but he did a TEDx talk in October 2019 about exercise therapy for concussion treatment.

I believe in the power of preventive healthcare, including a strong focus on nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being. By doing this, I feel I can help my patients live a high quality of life and enjoy what they do for as long as they can.

Research

06/2014 – 03/2015

Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center, Michigan, United States Research Assistant, Beena Sood, M.D., M.S.

I worked on a lipid study of neonates to determine if there is a correlation between lipid content in neonates and complications of preterm labor such as retinopathy of prematurity, necrotizing enterocolitis, and intra-ventricular hemorrhage. I was responsible for obtaining informed consent from the mothers, then getting the blood samples from the neonates. I centrifuged the samples and pipette the supernatant for storage into freezers to be analyzed later.

07/2018 – 04/2019

University at Buffalo UBMD Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, New York, United States Research Analyst, Data Collector, John Leddy, M.D.

I recruited concussed athletes for a study on measuring heart rate variability in concussed patients versus controls. I later collected the data and presented the findings at the national Sports Medicine conference in Houston, Texas in April 2019.
