Education & Board Certification
Shormi Durani, MD, is a board-certified internist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2006 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock. She remained there to complete her internship and Internal Medicine residency in 2009. After practicing in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, Dr. Durani joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2025.
Dr. Durani always had a deep desire to pursue a profession that would allow her to improve the lives of others by helping to ease suffering and help people maintain good health. As an Internal Medicine physician, she provides primary care for adult patients, offering diagnosis and treatment for acute illness and most chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and more. Dr. Durani is also a good listener who offers preventive care to help keep her patients up to date on their health maintenance for disease prevention. While striving to provide the best possible care, she loves building relationships with her patients.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Durani treats all of her patients with respect and listens to their individual needs without judgement. This sets the stage for working as a team with her patients to ensure the best health outcomes. She also tries to get to know her patients on a personal level – their lifestyles, their interests, and their struggles – so that she can better treat them as a whole person.
Hobbies & Interests
Dr. Durani enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, learning new recipes, trying different cuisines, and taking care of her many cats.
