Dr. Chen graduated from The University of Texas at Austin summa cum laude and received her undergraduate degree in Business Finance. In 2008, she earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed the Baylor College of Medicine Kelsey-Seybold Family Medicine Residency Program in 2011.

Dr. Chen is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society.

Hobbies and Interests

When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Chen enjoys exercising, traveling, gardening, baking desserts and spending time with her husband and young son. 
​The goal of my practice is to establish a nurturing, positive environment where my patients feel comfortable to discuss their health issues and situations. I enjoy getting to know my patients and developing lifelong relationships with them. I believe in educating patients to better understand their health conditions and disease processes, while making them an active partner in their ongoing care. I emphasize preventive care as well as lifestyle changes to help improve their overall health and quality of life.

​Dr. Chen was recognized with the Harris County Academy of Family Physicians Individual Resident’s Attendance Award in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. She received the Baylor College of Medicine’s Family Medicine House Officer Teaching Excellence Award during 2010-2011. She is board certified in Family Medicine

National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
Dr. Chen has been recognized with a presti​gious national certification for excellence in carin​g for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.
