About COVID-19 Testing
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic follows the guidelines set forth by the CDC regarding testing individuals for COVID-19. We offer all patients the ability to perform a Virtual Health visit to be evaluated for COVID-19. Patients who meet the criteria set by the CDC are scheduled for a COVID-19 test at one of our testing sites. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic’s testing strategy has focused on patients with symptoms of COVID-19, as well as high-risk and vulnerable populations such as the elderly, or those where the disease prevalence may be elevated, such as living in nursing homes, group homes, or possibly those living in over-crowded housing.
At this time, Kelsey-Seybold offers testing at several clinic sites.
While a potential exposure from a friend, coworker, or family member who has tested positive for COVID-19 may be stressful, our doctors continue to recommend self-isolation/quarantine and to monitor for any symptoms of COVID-19 for at least 14 days from the time of exposure.
The best way to help slow the spread of this virus is to engage in safety practices, including wearing a facemask in public or when in a group of people, social distancing, and frequent handwashing.
