Fun Facts

The most exotic or interesting place Dr. Bhagia has visited is the Great Barrier reef in Australia where she went scuba diving. Her guilty pleasure is chocolate, but she’s mindful about portion control. She always knew she’d become a doctor, even at a young age, because she came from a family of physicians and wanted to follow in their footsteps.

I strongly believe in making a treatment plan in conjunction with the patient after we have discussed potential options. I feel that diabetes is best managed with a multidisciplinary approach – it's not only the endocrinologist, but also your primary care physician, diabetes educator, registered dietitian, and the patient must work together to get better control of diabetes. I also believe in healthy eating and losing weight with a lower carb diet and exercising.
