Tricia Bankas, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner at Kelsey-Seybold. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011 at The University of Texas at Tyler and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2017 at Walden University in Minneapolis. She went on to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2022 at the University of Texas at Arlington. Tricia was inspired to become a nurse by her mother and her desire to help others in their time of need. Her love for nursing lead her to become a family nurse practitioner.
As a family nurse practitioner, Tricia diagnoses, develops treatment plans, evaluates test results, and educates patients and families on acute and chronic medical conditions. Patients can schedule visits with Tricia for treatment of hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, asthma, thyroid conditions, colds, flu, sinus infections, upper respiratory infections, minor injuries, asthma exacerbations, conjunctivitis, headaches, and much more. Her primary clinical interests are treating hypertension and diabetes management.
Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold, Tricia worked as a Nurse Practitioner for numerous organizations throughout the Houston area, including CVS Minute Clinic and UnitedHealthcare, and as a nurse at hospitalsm including Memorial Hermann Healthcare System.
