Sara Zarzoso-Fernandez, MD, FAAP

Dr. Sara Zarzoso-Fernandez earned her medical degree in 2005 at University of Alcala de Henares in Madrid, Spain. She completed her Pediatrics residency and Neonatology fellowship in 2010 at Gregorio Maranon Hospital in Madrid. She worked as a neonatologist and general pediatrician at NISA Pardo Aravaca and Ruber International in Madrid from 2010 to 2014. After moving to the United States, she completed a Pediatrics residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 2018. Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold, she worked as a general pediatrician for Memorial Hermann Group in Houston.

Dr. Zarzoso-Fernandez is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Zarzoso-Fernandez enjoys traveling, fitness and yoga, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Fun Facts

The best advice Dr. Zarzoso-Fernandez ever received is: “There’s always something to learn from anyone.” The most exotic/interesting place she has visited is China. “I loved the culture, the food, and the people.”

Dr. Zarzoso-Fernandez’s guilty pleasure is chocolate and banana pudding.
