Monetra is a physician’s assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences in 2007, with a minor in food science, nutrition, and health promotion, from Mississippi State University in Starkville. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Physical Assistant Studies in 2012 at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. She has over 10 years of experience as a physician’s assistant, which includes working in inpatient and outpatient settings. She initially joined Kelsey-Seybold in 2015, where she cared for patients until moving in 2017 to Michigan, where she spent five years as a hospitalist physician assistant. Monetra rejoined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2022.
Hobbies & Interests
Monetra enjoys running, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) classes, spending time with family, and napping.

Monetra is a foodie and enjoys trying different meals from other cultures.

The most interesting place she has visited is Cinque Terre, Italy.
Not everyone knows this about Monetra, but she enjoys dancing, was on the pom squad in college, and made it to the final round of auditions for the Dallas Mavericks Dancers.
Her guilty pleasures are watching romcoms and eating Hot Cheetos.
