Fun Facts

The most exotic place he has visited is Namibia, a country in southwest Africa, where he spent a summer working in an animal sanctuary and a remote medical clinic. “I enjoyed working closely on the relocation of cheetahs and leopards, as well as the amazing landscape of the Namib Desert and the Skeleton Coast.”

Not everyone knows this about Dr. Velez, but he has a green thumb and enjoys working with plants.

All throughout his childhood and up to the time he entered college, Dr. Velez wanted to be a veterinarian and work with exotic animals.

As a physiatrist, I strive to focus on the patient as a whole, focusing on improving their current level of function and working together to achieve their goals.
