Louis Diab, MD, is a board-certified Internal Medicine hospitalist. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine at Galveston in 2017 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 2020. Dr. Diab joined Kelsey-Seybold in June 2025.
Dr. Diab was inspired to pursue medicine by his childhood pediatrician, a compassionate and community-centered role model whom he also had the unique opportunity to work alongside during medical school. As a hospitalist and nocturnist, Dr. Diab specializes in the overnight management of acute medical conditions for hospitalized patients, responding to emergencies and ensuring continuity of care during the night. His clinical interests include acute care medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, and infectious disease. Dr. Diab’s favorite parts of practicing medicine are helping people through some of their most vulnerable moments and learning from the dynamic nature of hospital medicine.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Diab builds trust with his patients by being fully present during every encounter. He engages in open-ended conversations to understand patient goals and includes families in decision making. Dr. Diab’s philosophy of care is holistic and patient centered. He views patients as whole individuals with unique goals, values, and life stories. His care plans are collaborative and aligned with the patient's overall well-being.
Hobbies and Interests
In his free time, Dr. Diab enjoys hiking, traveling, watching sports, staying active, and crafting the perfect espresso shot.
