Kurt Johnson, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 2016. He remained at Baylor College of Medicine to complete its Orthopedic Surgery residency program in 2021. Dr. Johnson then went on to New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, to complete a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction Surgery in 2022. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in April 2025.
Dr. Johnson grew up watching his father, a cardiothoracic surgeon, change patients’ lives for the better, which inspired him to pursue a role in medicine. He sees patients with chronic pain, typically of the hip or knee joints due to arthritis. Dr. Johnson provides both surgical and nonsurgical management of degenerative joint disease and other joint ailments. As an orthopedic surgeon, he loves watching patients get their lives back after treatment.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Johnson builds trusting relationships with patients by spending time listening to them and by educating them on their conditions and the procedures that may benefit them. He approaches patient care with compassion, clear communication, and a commitment to providing the best possible treatment while respecting each patient’s unique needs and concerns. With empathy, respect, and dedication, Dr. Johnson focuses on his patients’ well-being while providing the highest quality medical care.
Hobbies & Interests
Dr. Johnson enjoys getting outdoors as much as possible to spend time with his family – whether that be walking around the block, golfing, or traveling to a mountain for some hiking or snow sports.
