Jahanzeb Shaikh, MD, board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, earned his medical degree at Baqai Medical University in 2007. After earning a Master of Philosophy in pharmacology, Dr. Shaikh then came to Houston, Texas, completing numerous externships. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia, in 2023, as well as a fellowship in Geriatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 2024. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in April 2025.

Inspired by his family to practice medicine, Dr. Shaikh provides compassionate primary care to adults, with his clinical interests centering on geriatric medicine. He provides well checks and immunizations to help his patients stay healthy. Dr. Shaikh also diagnoses and treats acute illness, such as viral infections and injuries, and manages chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. For Dr. Shaikh, having the honor of helping people in their time of need is the greatest part of being a physician.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Shaikh gets to know his patients by carefully listening to their stories and goals for their health. He understands that every patient is different; therefore, as a physician, he gives them the time and respect needed to tell him who they are. In his work with patients, he puts to practice the principle of “Do no harm first.”

Hobbies and Interests

In his free time, Dr. Shaikh relaxes by listening to his favorite podcasts.
