Dr. Emily Li Sou earned her Bachelor of Sciences at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 2011. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock in 2015. She completed her internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2016 and her Dermatology residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock in 2019. She completed her fellowship in Dermatopathology at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2020. Dr. Sou joined Kelsey-Seybold in September 2020.
Dr. Sou is a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology, the American Society of Dermatological Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Texas Dermatology Society, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Sou enjoys trying new cuisines, listening to a variety of podcasts, walking in the park, and spending time with family.
Fun Facts
The best advice Dr. Sou has ever received is: “When you are about to give up, hang on to it just a little longer, and you may just find yourself closer to your goal than you think.”
You may not know this about Dr. Sou, but she has a twin sister.
Her guilty pleasures are binge watching Netflix and playing Sudoku. As a child, she wanted to be a mathematician when she grew up.
