Claire received her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology in 2009 at The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth in 2014. After finishing her graduate degree, she worked at Baylor College of Medicine as a physician assistant/instructor from 2015 to 2018. Claire managed pre-operative and post-operative care of patients on an outpatient and inpatient basis in the Division of General Thoracic Surgery and had an integral role in building the Thoracic Surgery Division, The Lung Institute, and the Mesothelioma Program by overseeing clinical operations, managing clinical staff, and leading weekly team meetings. Claire joined Kelsey-Seybold's Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine Department at the Berthelsen Main Campus in August 2018.
Hobbies & Interests
Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling to learn about other cultures. Her hobbies include reading, painting, and going to the theatre to watch musicals and plays.
Fun Facts
The most interesting place Claire has visited is Japan, which has beautiful cherry blossoms. She describes the Japanese people as humble, kind, and great cooks who prepare delicious foods.What many people don't know about Claire is that she participated in Model United Nations during her high school and college years. Her favorite conference was World Model UN in The Hague where she represented Peru in the World Health Organization.
