Kelsey-Seybold Clinic supports the concept of patient- and family-centered care, an approach that encourages collaborative partnerships between healthcare providers, patients, and families. This means we put patients and families first. We know families are a primary source of strength and support for a patient, and that recovery and healing happens within the context of a family.

Kelsey-Seybold’s Patient Advisory Council focuses on the following areas:

  • Identifying existing best practices in patient- and family-centered care, including Kelsey-Seybold and those from other sources, and sharing those across the organization.
  • Supporting staff and Kelsey-Seybold leadership in patient- and family-centered activities and initiatives.
  • Acting as a sounding board for implementation of new programs and existing programs.
  • Representing patient and family perspectives about the healthcare experience at KSC and making recommendations for improvement.

The members of the council are valued partners in our mission to advance patient- and family-centered care. Patients and families can offer unique perspectives and valuable feedback regarding the standard of care they receive. The council is dedicated to the improvement of quality in patient and family care at Kelsey-Seybold.
