Neya Sterling, MD, is a pediatrician who attended Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2022. She then relocated to Texas, completing her residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2025. Dr. Sterling joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Pediatrics department in July 2025.
Following in the footsteps of her own childhood physician, Dr. Sterling strives to support her patients' physical and mental health, providing holistic and personalized care to them and their families. In addition to providing well care, she also offers sick care for acute conditions such as viral and bacterial infections and injuries, as well as management of chronic childhood conditions such as asthma. Dr. Sterling’s clinical interests include preventive care, sports medicine, and mental health. As a pediatrician, she finds it most rewarding to build deep relationships with her patients and their families.
Philosophy of Care
Understanding that her role is to support the caregiver and patient, Dr. Sterling fosters an environment that promotes open communication that enables her to provide individualized attention and personalized care to the specific needs of the child. “Medicine is collaborative,” she says, “and the end goal is to keep our kids happy and healthy!”
Hobbies & Interests
Dr. Sterling enjoys staying active by playing tennis and going on walks as well as cooking and exploring the Houston food scene.
