Michael Hottman, DO, earned his medical degree in 2022 at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. After relocating to Houston, he completed his Neurology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 2026. Dr. Hottman, who is also a United States Marine Corp veteran, joined Kelsey-Seybold’s medical staff in August 2026.
Dr. Hottman acquired a passion for medicine during his time in the military, having completed medical trauma and lifesaving training during his time of service. He sees patients for a broad range of neurological conditions ranging from migraines and neuropathy to epilepsy, dementia, stroke, and more. Dr. Hottman has a particular interest in balancing classic medicine with essential procedures to improve quality of life for patients. His favorite aspect of practicing medicine is building relationships with his patients and seeing them improve with treatment.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Hottman builds rapport with his patients to encourage them to take an active role in their care and implements a holistic approach that weighs both the patient’s health and quality of life. An advocate of incorporating lifestyle changes and preventive medicine into his care plans, he believes that the body can heal itself in many cases if he and his patients can work together to set it up for success.
