Maya Charuni Sarihan, MD, is an internist who attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, earning her medical degree in 2022. She then went to the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston to complete her Internal Medicine residency in 2025. Fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu, Dr. Sarihan joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Internal Medicine department in September 2025.
As a primary care physician for adult patients, Dr. Sarihan enjoys being able to use science and technology to help her patients live long and healthy lives. With a holistic approach, she strives to optimize her patients’ health with comprehensive preventive care as well as diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic disease. These include hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, diabetes, functional bowel disorders, mental health conditions, and women's health concerns. Whether through fighting acute conditions, managing chronic disease, or preventing disease through lifestyle management and screenings, Dr. Sarihan considers it a privilege to serve others in sickness and health.
Philosophy of Care
Because she believes the patient-doctor relationship is the most special part of medicine, Dr. Sarihan creates a comfortable, judgement-free space where her patients can share concerns and work with her to better optimize their health. With an approach founded on evidence-based and lifestyle medicine, her goal is to improve both the quality and quantity of her patients’ lives.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sarihan loves cooking, spending time with her family and friends (feeding them!), and traveling.
