Professional Background

Dr. Mullinax earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Houston. She started as a Texas-certified math and science teacher and taught high school for years in Pasadena, Texas. She also taught abroad in Hadano, Japan.

After these experiences, Dr. Mullinax pursued a medical degree from the Texas A&M University College of Medicine in 2003.  In 2004, she completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Scott & White in Temple, Texas.  In 2007, she completed her residency in Dermatology at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

Professional Associations

Dr. Mullinax is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, American Board of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatological Society and the Harris County Medical Society.

Hobbies and Interests

In her spare time, Dr. Mullinax loves to travel and tries to learn enough of her destination’s language to survive on the go.  She experiments with ethnic cooking, stress baking and “exercising to burn all those extra calories."
Conditions Treated
Dr. Mullinax treats skin conditions for all ages from infancy to senior citizens. Warts, molluscum, abscesses, ingrown nails, skin cancers and other conditions are surgically treated right in the exam room.  She diagnoses and prescribes treatments for chronic dermatologic problems such as eczema, psoriasis, lupus, lichen planus and other immune disorders.

She also enjoys helping patients with cosmetic concerns. Knowing there are a host of treatments available for discoloration, skin texture and skin firming, she helps patients find the best science to help them achieve their aesthetic goals.

I strive to bring compassion, education and medical science to my patients to provide the best dermatologic care. When there is listening and understanding, there is less anxiety and better ability to follow-through with the treatment plan.
