Jason Liu, MD, RPVI, is a board-certified cardiologist who is also certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. He attended the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, earning his medical degree in 2017. After completing his Internal Medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis in 2020, Dr. Liu went to the Texas Heart Institute, where he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases in 2024 and a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology in 2025. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2025.
The first physician in his family, Dr. Liu was inspired to join the profession after seeing his loved ones with chronic conditions struggle to navigate the increasingly complex healthcare system. He is focused on comprehensive cardiovascular care with an emphasis on treatment of complex atherosclerotic diseases. These include coronary heart diseases like myocardial infarction and angina, as well as peripheral artery diseases and more. Dr. Liu’s favorite part of practicing medicine is how it allows him to improve his patients’ symptoms and quality of life, helping to get them back to doing the activities they love.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Liu treats his patients as he would his own family members, making sure to spend time getting to know them and their values and interests. With a collaborative approach, he hopes to empower his patients to actively participate in their healthcare decisions. Believing that every patient with cardiovascular disease deserves access to expert, compassionate, and timely care, Dr. Liu promotes long-term cardiovascular health through both intervention and prevention.
Hobbies & Interests
When he has free time, Dr. Liu likes to spend it playing the piano, traveling, and snowboarding.
