Dr. Bassi completed her medical degree in 2000 from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, and went on to complete an Internal Medicine internship and a Radiology residency (2005) at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She was awarded a Body Imaging fellowship from 2005 to 2006 at Henry Ford Hospital where she later served as the senior staff radiologist from 2006-2015.

Dr. Bassi is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America, the American Medical Association, the Michigan Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and the North American Sikh Medical and Dental Association.

Hobbies and Int​erests

Dr. Bassi enjoys skiing, interior design, reading and raising her daughers with her husband, Kelsey-Seybold physician Dr. Harjaneet Bedi.

Fun Fa​cts

Dr. Bassi is trained in Kathak, a classical Indian dance, and has visited Machu Picchu and Peru. As a child, she wanted to be an interior designer. Her favorite book is Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, her favorite musical act is U2 and her favorite historical figure is Edgar Degas. ​
​As a radiologist, I believe the best patient care happens when we understand the pathophysiology of disease, its radiologic presentations and work in conjunction with our clinical colleagues to optimally treat and manage disease processes.

Awards & Recognitions


Dr. Bassi was Chief Resident during her Radiology residency at Henry Ford Hospital from 2003-2004. She also served as the Physician Advisor for the School of Sonography from 2004 to 2015. During her residency with Henry Ford Radiology, she was on the Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation Committees. She also served on the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Admissions Committee and was the Faculty Advisor for the Radiology Interest Group at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
