Catherine Turner, PA-C, is a Dermatology physician assistant at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UT Southwestern in Dallas in 2021 after earning her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Lewis & Clark College in Portland in 2015. Catherine joined Kelsey-Seybold in July 2025.
Catherine’s journey into medicine began when she took a wilderness first aid course to make her rock-climbing hobby safer. This experience sparked a passion for healthcare, and her interest in Dermatology grew while working as an inpatient Infectious Disease physician assistant. At Kelsey-Seybold, Catherine treats dermatologic conditions in patients of all ages. Her clinical interests include cutaneous infections, acne, psoriasis, and the prevention and treatment of skin cancers. Catherine prioritizes building trust by actively listening and involving patients in their care decisions.
Philosophy of Care
Catherine takes a patient-centered and collaborative approach to care. She emphasizes shared decision making and strives to empower patients by helping them understand their skin conditions and treatment options.
Hobbies and Interests
Catherine enjoys gardening, especially growing Texas native plants that support local pollinators. She also likes board games, video games, reading fantasy and sci-fi novels, and playing with her two kittens. In addition, she lifts weights and has competed in regional Olympic weightlifting competitions.
