Dr. Bethany Dykes Horner earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, in 2012 at Texas A&M University in College Station. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2016 at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Bryan and Temple. She completed The University of Texas Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program in Houston in 2020. She’s certified in da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery and laparoscopic surgery. She joined Kelsey-Seybold in July 2020.

Dr. Dykes Horner holds several licenses and certifications, including da Vinci Surgical System (robot) training, laparoscopic surgery training, NEXPLANON® (etonogestrel implant) training, neonatal resuscitation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Hobbies & Interests

Dr. Dykes Horner enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoys church activities, mission trips, attending the theater, traveling to the beach, and listening to music.

Fun Facts

Dr. Dykes Horner says some advice that has truly influenced her life came from a mural on the wall of the gymnastics class when she was young. It was a quote by Aristotle: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

The most interesting place Dr. Dykes Horner has visited is Lima, Peru, where she participated in a medical mission trip in nearby villages. The experience reinforced to her that she’s doing exactly what she was born to do.

It may not be widely known, but Dr. Dykes Horner grew up in Katy, where she attended Cinco Ranch High School.
