Mako SmartRobotics

Relief From Knee Pain, Without a Hospital Stay

If you haven’t found relief through physical therapy or medications, Mako SmartRobotics™ may be your next step. It’s available at our Memorial Villages Campus Ambulatory Surgery Center, where expert orthopedic care meets advanced surgical technology.

Your path to healing begins with a CT scan that builds a detailed 3D model of your knee. This allows your surgeon to plan with precision. During surgery, the robotic arm assists in targeting only the damaged area while preserving healthy bone and tissue as much as possible.

What To Expect From Mako SmartRobotics™

This approach uses smaller incisions and zeroes in on the affected area, minimizing strain on surrounding tissue. Patients often experience less pain, fewer complications, and a joint that moves more naturally. Since it’s an outpatient procedure, most patients go home the same day.

Is Mako Right for You?

Ideal candidates are those with osteoarthritis limited to one part of the knee and who haven’t improved with conservative care. Your Kelsey-Seybold care team will help identify the best pathway based on your health and goals.
