Tony Y. Chen, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who comes from a family of physicians. He joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in August of 2023. In 2017, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University. In 2021, Dr. Chen completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School - Newark. Shortly after, Dr. Chen completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Chen specializes in treating retinal diseases and addressing symptoms such as flashes, floaters, blurred or distorted vision, and partial or complete vision loss.
Dr. Chen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Chen enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he visits parks and museums, tries out different restaurants, and travels to different countries. He’s also an avid sports player, especially badminton.
