Tonja Johnson-Terrell was born and raised in Houston. She attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she received her Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) in 2002, her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) in 2017, and her Post-Master Emergency Nurse Practitioner degree in 2018. She’s a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) credentialed by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the state of Texas.
Tonja has cared for patients through a variety of nursing positions over the course of her career. These include positions as a staff RN at Houston Northwest Medical Center from 2002 to 2007; Memorial Hermann Hospital from 2007 to 2009; Memorial Hermann Hospital – The Woodlands from 2009 to 2013; and Houston Northwest Medical Center from 2013 to 2018. Tonja cared for patients as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Huntsville Memorial Hospital from 2018 until joining Kelsey-Seybold in 2019.
