Padmavathi V. Karri, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who attended the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) to earn her medical degree in 2021. After completing an internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2022, she returned to UTHealth to complete an MD Anderson Dermatology residency in 2025. Bilingual in English and Telugu, Dr. Karri joined Kelsey-Seybold in September 2025.

Dr. Karri became a dermatologist to serve others, offer care that truly impacts patients’ lives, and build meaningful, long-term relationships. While providing both general and cosmetic Dermatology care, Dr. Karri offers mole checks and treats her patients for conditions such as acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, pigmentary conditions, conditions affecting skin of color, and hair loss. Whether it’s through clearing acne, managing eczema, or finding answers after years of frustration, Dr. Karri finds it rewarding to guide patients toward better skin and see how treatment empowers them to feel better about themselves. She also enjoys the intellectual side of medicine because she knows that translating the latest research into real-world, practical care benefits her patients every day.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Karri knows that skin concerns can be deeply personal and frustrating, especially when patients have been struggling for a long time without answers. That is why she takes the time to really hear them out, acknowledging their concerns, validating their experiences, and making sure they feel seen and understood. Believing that skin health is deeply tied to both physical and emotional well-being, Dr. Karri’s care as a dermatologist is rooted in empathy, education, and empowerment.

Hobbies & Interests

In her spare time, Dr. Karri enjoys ceramics, painting, traveling, and exploring Houston's fabulous food scene with her husband.
