Nicola Dundas, MD, is a board-certified pathologist who attended the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), finishing her medical degree in 2013. She then went to Houston Methodist Hospital, where she completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology in 2017. Dr. Dundas remained at Houston Methodist Hospital to complete fellowships in Surgical Pathology in 2018 and in Cytopathology in 2019. She joined Kelsey-Seybold in October 2025.

While in school for her master’s degree, Dr. Dundas worked in a hospital-based test development lab with a mentor who inspired her to pursue pathology. She now works as part of care teams, analyzing tissue samples to help diagnose patients following procedures such as biopsies and helping to guide management and treatment. In her work, Dr. Dundas especially enjoys digital pathology and applying new technologies as they become available — but her favorite part of practicing medicine is being involved as an essential part of care.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Dundas understands that clear and concise diagnoses are essential to patient care, so she is methodical and inquisitive, fostering thorough communication with each patient’s treating physicians.

Hobbies & Interests

Away from the clinic, Dr. Dundas enjoys family time, her two dogs, and swimming.
