Inspired by her own experiences and feelings of vulnerability as a young patient, Dr. Yang became a physician to care for others with compassion and reassurance in their most vulnerable moments. She sees patients experiencing symptoms that may be related to the brain, spinal cord, nerves, or muscles — such as seizures, headaches, dizziness, numbness and tingling, weakness, memory problems, tremors, balance difficulties, vision changes, and episodes of loss of consciousness. Dr. Yang’s areas of interest include epilepsy and seizure disorders, neurocognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, stroke and cerebrovascular disease, headache and migraine disorders, dizziness and balance disorders, peripheral neuropathy, neuromuscular diseases, movement disorders, and autoimmune neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis and autoimmune encephalitis. As a physician, Dr. Yang finds it truly rewarding to build meaningful relationships with her patients and having the opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Yang believes trust is the foundation of the physician-patient relationship, so she listens carefully to her patients, treats them with empathy and respect, and ensures they feel heard and understood. With a compassionate, patient-centered, evidence-based approach to individualized care, she takes the time to understand not only their symptoms but also how their conditions affect their daily lives, families, and personal goals.
