Maryam Ahmed, MD, MPH, began her pursuit of medicine by earning her medical degree at Punjab Medical College in Faisalabad in 2016. After relocating to Canton, Ohio, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Canton Medical Education Foundation in 2026. Dr. Ahmed also holds a Master of Public Health in health policy and management from Kent State University in Ohio. Fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu, she joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Internal Medicine department in September 2026.
Dr. Ahmed’s passion for biology and a lifelong desire to understand how the body functions fueled her desire to become a physician. As an internist, she provides compassionate primary care for adult patients, including management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol, and treatment of common acute illnesses like colds, infections, and minor injuries. Dr. Ahmed also helps patients address concerns such as fatigue, digestive issues, skin conditions, mental health, and women's and men's health. Her clinical interests center on preventive healthcare to help patients stay healthy through early detection, routine screenings, lifestyle counseling, and personalized care plans that reduce the risk of chronic disease and promote long-term wellness. As a highly compassionate person, Dr. Ahmed loves that primary care gives her the privilege of building lasting relationships with her patients while she helps them achieve better health.
