Marco Jauregui, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, graduating in the class of 2022. He went on to the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2026. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Jauregui joined Kelsey-Seybold’s OB/GYN department in October 2026.
Having grown up along the Texas border when access to affordable healthcare was challenging for himself and his family, Dr. Jauregui knew becoming a physician was a calling that would allow him to help others. He practices a broad spectrum of obstetric and gynecological care that includes birth control management, routine well woman exams, cervical cancer screening and management, prenatal care, and postpartum care. Dr. Jauregui provides treatment for gynecological issues such as abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis, postmenopausal bleeding, and other diseases of the female reproductive tract. He also performs a variety of procedures from placement of birth control implants (IUD and Nexplanon) and endometrial biopsies to colposcopy, hysterectomy, and more — with a focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery approaches when possible. Dr. Jauregui’s favorite part of practicing medicine is being able to build relationships with his patients and their families and being present for them in some of their most challenging times and memorable moments.
Philosophy of Care
With a patient-centered and holistic approach, Dr. Jauregui takes the time to sit and talk with his patients to learn about all the relevant physical, mental, social, and emotional factors in each patient’s life to provide the most customized care possible. In a safe and comfortable environment, he educates his patients on their diagnoses and partners with them in shared decision making for their health.
