Latecia Gillespie, MSN, APRN, CPNP-BC, FNP-BC, CCM, earned her Bachelor of Science in 2013 at The University of Texas at El Paso. She remained there to complete her Master of Science in 2016. Latecia also completed a post-master’s Family Nurse Practitioner certificate at the University of Massachusetts in Boston in 2019 to become a certified nurse practitioner. She joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Family Medicine department in February 2025.
When she was just 12, Latecia began providing wound care for her sister, who suffered third-degree burns over 80% of her body from hot bath water – and knew from that experience she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field to help others. Latecia offers primary care for patients of all ages from newborns to older adults. She provides treatment and management of acute conditions, including wounds and infections, and chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and behavioral health problems. She also helps patients manage weight and provides well care like immunizations, Pap smears, and more. Latecia’s favorite part of working with patients is having the ability to directly help people and make a positive impact on their lives, often during vulnerable times, by improving their health.

By listening, understanding, and addressing all of her patients’ needs, Latecia provides clear and transparent communication to her patients, collaborating with them to create personalized treatment plans that empower them to participate in their healthcare decisions. She treats all her patients with dignity and respect, remembering that every patient is important and deserving of compassion and support.
Hobbies & Interests
Latecia loves to spend time with her great-grandchildren and her dogs. She also loves cruising with family and friends, swimming, playing with puzzles, singing, and dancing.
