Fun Facts
The best advice Dr. Bao has ever received came from the book Peaceful Parent, Happy Kids by Dr. Laura Markham, who wrote:
- “Children thrive when they feel connected and understood.”
- “Disconnection is a normal part of life, no matter how aware we are. So parenting effectively requires us to constantly reconnect every day.”
- “I can do hard things.”
- “If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.”
- “You don’t have to; you get to.”
The most exotic places she has visited are the mountains of Costa Rica, where she ziplined, the waters of Southern California, where she sailed, and the Great Wall of China, where she hiked portions of it.
