Farah Mushtaq, MD, began her medical education at the University of Nairobi in Kenya, graduating with her medical degree in 2007. She then relocated to Houston to complete her Internal Medicine residency at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2015. In New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Mushtaq completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in 2017. She came to Kelsey-Seybold as a double board-certified endocrinologist and internist in October 2025 and is trilingual in English, Kiswahili, and Urdu.
Encouraged to practice medicine by her father, Dr. Mushtaq provides expert care for a wide variety of endocrinological conditions. These include diabetes; thyroid diseases such as hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and Graves' disease; polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS); osteoporosis, and other hormone-related conditions. Her favorite aspect of practicing medicine is having the opportunity to interact with her patients.
