Austin Montondon, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant of Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. David Edelstein, who cares for his patients at our Main Campus. He assists Dr. Edelstein with surgical procedures and helps care for his patients. Austin earned his undergraduate degree in Spanish from Lamar University in Beaumont in 2002. He earned his Master in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2004. Austin then served in the United States Navy from 2004 to 2006. He was stationed in New Orleans assigned to the Navy airbase family practice clinic. Austin was deployed to Kuwait in 2006. At the time, he worked in an urgent care clinic.
Hobbies & Interests
When not caring for patients, Austin enjoys spending time with his wife and six children. He stays active playing sports and recently began long distance running. He also enjoys cooking and gardening. Austin has been a percussionist for many years and recently began learning to play the guitar and the piano. He has said that his father was his role model, because he taught Austin the importance of being kind, thoughtful and always being willing to serve others.
