Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Names Susie Thang

Houston (January 6, 2011) – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, Houston's premier community-based physician group for over 60 years, has named Pharmacist Susie N. Thang as its new manager of Kelsey Pharmacy – Downtown located at The Shops at Houston Center, set to open mid-January.

This is the first Kelsey Pharmacy to open downtown and the 13th Kelsey Pharmacy location in the Houston area. In addition to filling prescriptions, the new pharmacy will stock over-the-counter products ranging from allergy medications to diabetic supplies. The Kelsey Pharmacy will also offer vitamins and supplements, as well as the exclusive skin care product line, SkinCeuticals.

"When planning our pharmacy expansion to The Shops at Houston Center, we knew that we needed a pharmacist who could leverage existing relationships in the area in order to help build our pharmacy from the ground up," said Cathy Salinas, Director of Pharmacy for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. "Susie Thang's personal experience with the pharmaceutical needs of downtown businesswomen, businessmen and residents and her ability to manage the pharmacy with our patients and customers in mind will greatly benefit Kelsey Pharmacy – Downtown."

Before joining Kelsey Pharmacy – Downtown, Ms. Thang managed the CVS pharmacy in downtown Houston where she oversaw the budget and inventory for the pharmacy and identified opportunities for cost savings and greater customer service.

Prior to CVS Pharmacy in downtown Houston, she worked as a Research Technician for Baylor College of Medicine.

Ms. Thang has a doctorate of pharmacy from University of Houston College of Pharmacy, and a BA in Biology from University of Texas at Austin.
