Kelsey-Seybold Clinic - Downtown Moves to the Shops at Houston Center
New, larger medical facility brings primary and added specialty care under one roof
Houston (March 14, 2011) – To meet the growing medical needs of Houston's downtown community, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, a downtown health resource for more than 35 years, today opened a new, more expansive facility at The Shops at Houston Center.
The new Houston Center clinic will offer primary care and specialty care services including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dermatology, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Podiatry and Pulmonary Medicine. The facility will occupy 23,000 square feet, one of the largest medical leases in downtown.
In addition to primary and specialty care, this location will also provide routine diagnostic and ancillary services, including laboratory, X-ray, digital mammography, bone density screening and ultrasound services. Other services include allergy injections, pre-employment physicals, foreign travel exams, foreign travel immunizations, drug screenings, asbestos exams, hazardous materials/hazardous waste exams, department of Transportation exams and United Kingdom Offshore Oil Association (UKOOA) physicals.
Patients also have the added convenience of filling prescriptions at the new Kelsey Pharmacy - Downtown, which opened in January, located only steps away, across from the new clinic.

It is also accessible by foot for the 135,000 people who work in and around the downtown tunnel system. "The expansion and relocation of Kelsey-Seybold's downtown clinic and addition of the new pharmacy will meet the needs of the community while offering patients the same level of quality care they have come to know and expect from Kelsey-Seybold."
The new downtown clinic is located at 1200 McKinney, Suite 473, half a block from the original clinic location at 1 Houston Center, which opened in 1975. Designed by architecture firm Page Southerland Page, LLP and constructed by Linbeck, the new downtown clinic is one of 20 Kelsey-Seybold Clinics located in and around the Greater Houston Area.
