Kelsey-Seybold Announces New Multispecialty Care Center in Sienna
New location will help meet growing demand for healthcare services in Fort Bend
Houston (September 24, 2015) – To meet increased demand in the Fort Bend area and improve patient experience and convenience, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic has begun construction of a new $9 million medical office building near the Sienna and Riverstone communities. The one-story clinic, scheduled to open in August of 2016, will be located at 7010 Highway 6, Missouri City, near the Oilfield Road/Lake Olympia Parkway intersection.
"As one of the fastest growing counties in the country, Fort Bend's medical needs are changing and growing. Having lived and worked in Fort Bend for many years, I have personally seen this community transform over the last 35 years. Patients want access to their doctors near their homes, schools and places of work. This is why we are expanding our footprint in the Fort Bend area," said Spencer R. Berthelsen, M.D., F.A.C.P., Chairman and Managing Director, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
The 23,800-square-foot clinic is the latest development in Fort Bend and joins other Kelsey-Seybold clinics in the area. Kelsey-Seybold has two other clinics in the Fort Bend area, including its Katy Clinic, which will be replaced with a new clinic in early 2016 and its Fort Bend Medical and Diagnostic Center. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Sienna will offer services in eight medical specialties and accommodate 12 physicians and their staff. In addition to medical services, patients will have the convenience of onsite pharmacy, lab, X-ray and diagnostics.
"We have known for some time that our presence in Fort Bend would grow exponentially because of all of the incredible development in the area," said Stuart Cayer, Director of Ambulatory Care, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. "The new Sienna Clinic will improve access for patients and bring added convenience and services to the growing Fort Bend area."
The new Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Sienna location was designed by architects at Page. Gamma Construction has been named the general contractor for this project.
