Nationally Recognized Cancer Care in the Bay Area
At Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, our nationally-recognized cancer treatment program is the foundation for comprehensive cancer care, personalized for each patient. Kelsey-Seybold Bay Area Cancer Center offers comprehensive cancer services and treatments including, Infusion Center and Pharmacy, state-of-the-art Radiation Therapy, Hematology / Oncology Specialists, and free parking in a comfortable outpatient setting.
Kelsey-Seybold Cancer Centers also offer minimally invasive breast biopsies, genetic testing for breast, ovarian, and colon cancer, and other imaging studies. The Cancer Center is home to state-of-the-art diagnostics such as PET, CT, MRI, genetic testing, and stereotactic breast biopsy.
Patients can park for free at Building C in the surface parking area for easy access to our Cancer Center building.

Accreditations
- Kelsey-Seybold Clinic was named the nation’s first accredited Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in 2013 by the prestigious National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
- The NCQA also designated Kelsey-Seybold as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH).
The QOPI® Certification Program (QCP) certifies Hematology/Oncology practices that meet the highest quality criteria for cancer care. With this certification, Kelsey-Seybold joins an elite group of around 300 QOPI-certified practices across the United States, Brazil, Greece, and Spain.
QOPI: the Gold Standard
Considered the gold standard for oncology care, the QOPI aligns with many Joint Commission standards but is Oncology-specific.
Participating practices can report on over 190 evidence-based quality measures and receive individual performance scores aggregated from all participating practices. Each reporting practice uses this performance data to identify, develop, and implement quality improvement initiatives leading to better care and better outcomes for their patients.
Meeting QOPI Certification Standards
QCP awards QOPI Certification to outpatient practices (not individual office sites or physicians). To become certified, practices submit to an evaluation of their entire practice and documentation standards. The QCP staff and task force members then verify, through an on-site survey, that core treatment standards are being met, including:
- Creating a safe environment – staffing, competencies, and general policy
- Treatment planning, patient consent, and education
- Ordering, preparing, dispensing, and administering chemotherapy
- Monitoring after chemotherapy is administered, including for adherence, toxicity, and complications
- Treatment planning
- Staff training and education
- Chemotherapy orders and drug preparations
- Monitoring and assessment of patient well-being
