Shirali Suryakant Patel, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist at Kelsey-Seybold. She earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 2012. She remained there to complete her General Psychiatry Residency in 2017. Dr. Patel joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Behavioral Health department in September 2024.
Guided toward psychiatry by a mentor in college, Dr. Patel treats individuals struggling with their mental health. This includes a variety of conditions, including adjustment disorders, depression and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and other psychiatric disorders. She has a particular interest in helping patients with depression and anxiety disorders, as well as identity and work/relationship struggles. Her favorite part of practicing medicine is building lasting relationships with patients.
