Dr. Muhammad graduated from the University of Karachi in Pakistan in 1986. In 1991, he went to Chicago’s Cook County Hospital to complete his Internal Medicine residency.  For his fellowship, Dr. Muhammad went to the prestigious Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.​

Hobbies and Inter​ests

When Dr. Muhammad is not caring for patients, he enjoys reading and volunteering with the American Diabetes Association.

National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
Dr. Muhammad has been recognized with a presti​gious national certification for excellence in carin​g for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.
