Noma Abbasi, MD, earned her medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences, Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1996. She completed her internship and Family Medicine residency at Houston Methodist Family Medicine Residency in 2008. She was inspired to pursue a career as a physician by her sensitivity to human suffering and her deep-seated desire to alleviate people's pain during times of hardship. Dr. Abbasi is board-certified in Family Medicine and joined Kelsey-Seybold in October 2023.
Dr. Abbasi provides care to patients of all ages, addressing both acute conditions such as sore throat, urinary tract infections, injuries, and abscesses, as well as chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and arthritis. She also performs physicals, including annual and well-woman exams. Her clinical interests include diabetes, high blood pressure, and muscular pain, with a special focus on myofascial pain and alternative medicine options such as herbal supplements, diet changes, exercise, yoga, and meditation.
