He received a cornea/refractive surgery fellowship from the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute in Cleveland, which he completed in 2013. Afterward, Dr. Nayeb-Hashemi worked as a staff physician, clinical associate and assistant professor at both the Cleveland Clinic and Loyola University Medical Center before joining Kelsey-Seybold in September 2016.

Fun Facts

Dr. Nayeb-Hashemi’s favorite book is “The Island” by Aldous Huxley. His guilty pleasure is video games. As a child, he idolized Hakeem Olajuwon and wanted to grow up to become a professional basketball player.

While all efforts should be toward attaining the best results possible, I believe it is imperative to always  put the safety of a patient first, even if that excludes them from the benefits of certain heavily marketed devices and products.
