After earning a certification in secondary education and her Master of Education at the University of Houston, Amber Sleem, DO, earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019 in Dothan. Afterward, Dr. Sleem completed her Internal Medicine residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, serving as chief medical resident and assistant staff physician from 2022 to 2023.

Dr. Sleem decided to practice medicine because she has always been fascinated by the human body and wanted to help others. She treats a wide variety of medical concerns for adult patients and has a particular interest in Cardiology and preventive medicine. Dr. Sleem finds it exciting to be a part of a field that continually evolves to improve lives for others.

Hobbies & Interests

When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Sleem finds her greatest joy in spending time with her husband, son, and dogs. She loves teaching her son new things, taking him to museums, and exploring new sites around the Greater Houston area.
