Kelsey-Seybold Garners Highest Ambulatory Healthcare Accreditation Status
AAAHC grants three-year re-accreditation
Houston (February 28, 2007) - The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) has re-accredited Kelsey-Seybold Clinic for a three-year term, the highest status granted by the premier accreditor for ambulatory, or outpatient, healthcare organizations. The award followed an intensive quality inspection of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in October 2006 that assessed compliance with national best practice standards.
Accreditation is a voluntary process involving self-assessment by an organization as well as a thorough review by the AAAHC's expert surveyors, who are themselves, ambulatory healthcare professionals.
"Achieving accreditation demands a high level of dedication and effort," said AAAHC President Roy Grekin, M.D. "Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is to be commended for this accomplishment."
