Woman’s Hospital Elects New President of Medical Staff

Dr. Earl J. Lombard, II to Serve Two-Year Term

Houston (December 19, 2012) ― Earl J. Lombard II, M.D., has been elected President of the Medical Staff at The Woman's Hospital of Texas (TWHT). Dr. Lombard is an obstetrician/ gynecologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic-Woman's Center.

TWHT has a long-standing relationship with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.

"Dr. Lombard brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to this role," said Woman's CEO Linda Russell. "It is no surprise that our physicians elected him to the highest leadership position among the medical staff. He embodies our mission of providing compassionate, exceptional care to the women and infants we serve."

Dr. Lombard has served Woman's Hospital in several capacities, including Secretary of the Medical Executive Committee from 2008 to 2010, Vice President of the Medical Executive Committee from 2010 to 2011, and President-Elect of the Medical Executive Committee from 2011 to 2012.

During his two-year term, Lombard will lead the Medical Staff at Woman's and serve on The Board of Trustees. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Tennessee. Dr. Lombard completed his OB-GYN residency at Tulane University.

When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Lombard enjoys reading, playing golf and spending time with his family.
