Oscar Longoria M.D., Radiologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Appointed Managing Physician of Nuclear Medicine

Houston (January 17, 2018) – Oscar Longoria, M.D., a board-certified radiologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, has been appointed by the Board of Managers to serve as the new Managing Physician of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Longoria has been a member of the Kelsey-Seybold Radiology Department since 2009. He replaces David Mouton, M.D., who established and led the Nuclear Medicine team at Kelsey-Seybold for 45 years, after a two-year transition process.

“Nuclear Medicine is an essential aspect of the care continuum here at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. I was so pleased to have worked with Dr. Mouton over the last two years to transition into this role, in the department he founded 45 years ago,” said Dr. Longoria. “I look forward to what the future has in store for this section, including advancements in Nuclear Medicine that are sure to help improve patient lives and outcomes.”

Dr. Longoria earned his medical degree at The University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School. After graduating, Dr. Longoria spent five years at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where he served as Chief Resident of Radiology in his last year. He completed a neuroradiology fellowship with UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2009 and joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic thereafter. His clinical interests include neuroradiology, including brain, spine, head and neck imaging, and nuclear medicine imaging.

Dr. Longoria is a member of the American Board of Radiology, American College of Radiology, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.
