Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Announces New Stafford Location to Open in Summer 2022
New clinic will expand healthcare access for Stafford, Alief, Braeburn, and North Missouri City residents.
HOUSTON (Nov. 5, 2021) – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic announced plans today to build a two-story, 33,000-square-foot clinic in The Grid, a 192-acre, mixed-use development built on the former Texas Instruments campus in the heart of Stafford. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Stafford will be located at 11211 Nexus Ave., Stafford, 77477 – right off the Southwest Freeway and between Kirkwood and W. Airport drives.
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Stafford is one of several new clinic locations announced this year and follows recent openings in Lake Jackson, North Channel, and River Oaks, as well as announcements for new locations coming soon in Gulfgate Center, the Heights, and the Memorial Villages area. This new clinic in Stafford is another targeted location, all part of a larger expansion plan for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Stafford will have space for 15 providers with the possibility to expand up to 27 providers in the future. The new clinic will be offering primary and specialty healthcare for adults and children. Patients will have convenient access to on-site imaging, including routine X-ray, ultrasound, 3D mammography, DEXA bone density scan, and capability for mobile MRI and CT. Other diagnostic and ancillary services include cardiac stress testing, echocardiography, laboratory services, and an on-site Kelsey Pharmacy.
"We're excited to be able to expand access to quality healthcare for residents living in the southwest side of Houston, bringing new specialties and services to this well-established area," said Tony Lin, M.D., chairman of the board of managers, Kelsey-Seybold. "We look forward to providing the level of quality care that our patients have come to expect from us in a setting that's comfortable and convenient."
The new location will expand access to coordinated, evidence-based care in southwest Harris County and in Fort Bend County, the second-most populous county in the Greater Houston area. This new clinic is conveniently located near commercial enterprises and developed residential areas, including Missouri City, Meadows Place, Stafford, Southwest Houston, and Alief. This new ground-up build in Stafford will be the fourth location in Fort Bend County, with two more locations planned as part of Kelsey-Seybold's growth strategy.
"Our new Stafford Clinic will support residents and those who work in this area by offering the kind of quality healthcare they deserve," said Kenneth Janis, M.H.A., M.B.A., chief operating officer, Kelsey-Seybold. "It's vitally important for people to have healthcare services close to their home and work, and that's what our expansion plan aims to do for residents in this community and communities across the Greater Houston area."
The new Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Stafford was designed by architects at Kirksey Architecture. Gamma Construction has been named the general contractor.
