Jana Gutierrez, MD, is a psychiatrist who joined Kelsey-Seybold in July 2025. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) in 2021 and completed her General Psychiatry residency at the University of Oklahoma in 2025.

Dr. Gutierrez was introduced to medicine early in life through her parents, both nurses who cultivated her fascination with the human mind and inspired her to pursue psychiatry. She is particularly interested in women's mental health, with a focus on perinatal and postpartum care. She treats a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and psychosis. Dr. Gutierrez cares for adult patients and prioritizes providing compassionate, open-minded care in a safe, respectful environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their mental health.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Gutierrez believes in treating the whole person, not just their symptoms, and tailoring care to improve each patient's quality of life. She is compassionate and respectful, fostering a therapeutic environment where patients feel heard and supported.

Hobbies & Interests

Dr. Gutierrez enjoys traveling, reading, taking Peloton spin and Pilates classes, and spending quality time with her husband and family.
