Justin Gomez

2025- Texas A&M University, MHA

Background: Justin Gomez is from Beeville, Texas, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and a Master of Health Administration degree, both from Texas A&M University. Throughout his academic journey, Justin gained practical experience in healthcare operations. He began his healthcare journey as a front desk medical receptionist at Integrity Urgent Care and later worked as a research assistant on a healthcare consumer access project at Texas A&M. During his internship with the Houston Methodist Physician Organization, Justin assisted in launching the system's first ambulatory surgery center. He also contributed to several other initiatives, including optimizing exam room utilization, analyzing patient experience data, producing patient story videos, and creating marketing materials for a community walk aimed at raising awareness for post-intensive care syndrome. Additionally, he supported the development of new sports fields at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital.

Lola Tebbe

2025- University of Kansas Medical Center, MHSA

Background: Lola Tebbe was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She earned her Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2023 and received her Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2025. Throughout her academic career, Lola held a variety of roles that deepened her interest in healthcare administration. During her undergraduate years, Lola served as an Administrative Intern at Americare Senior Living, where she supported daily operations and helped improve administrative workflows. She later gained hands-on experience in revenue cycle operations through a Patient Accounts Internship at University Health Medical Center. This role gave her the opportunity to work on projects that helped streamline billing processes and resolve patient account disputes. In addition to her internships, Lola spent four years working as a Guest Services Representative at University Health Medical Center. In this position, she served as a frontline liaison for patients and visitors, which allowed her to hone her skills in communication, conflict resolution, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Alex Thornley

2025- Texas A&M University, MHA

Background: Alex Thornley grew up in Austin and is a double graduate of Texas A&M University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health and a Master of Health Administration. He began his healthcare journey by earning his EMT-B license. This was a pivotal moment in his career, as he not only developed a passion for healthcare, but he also gained a strong desire to improve healthcare delivery. This ultimately set him on the path to earning his MHA. During graduate school, Alex worked as a Research Assistant on a Medicaid Consumer Access Research Project at Texas A&M’s School of Public Health, aiming to better understand the Medicaid marketplace and influence policy reform. He also served as an Administrative Intern with Baylor Scott & White Health, where he contributed to various projects, including OBGYN process mapping to increase standardization, and a dermatology patient access initiative in order to improve efficiencies and enhance community access to care.

Hannah Atkinson

Fellowship Experience: “Completing the Administrative Fellowship at Kelsey-Seybold has been an invaluable experience. The program offered meaningful exposure to senior leadership and immersive, hands-on involvement in key initiatives across multiple departments. I had the opportunity to lead high-impact projects that enhanced my understanding of healthcare operations and strategy. This year has pushed me to grow as a leader and think more critically and systemically. I’m deeply grateful for the mentorship, support, and collaboration from so many across the organization. Fellowship Experience: “The Administrative Fellowship Program at Kelsey-Seybold laid a strong foundation for my development as a healthcare leader. Throughout the fellowship, I had the opportunity to work one-on-one with executive leadership, gaining valuable insight into high-level strategic decision-making. Current Position: Chief Operating Officer - Kelsey-Seybold Clinic

Fellowship Experience: The Kelsey-Seybold Fellowship was instrumental in launching my career in Health Care. It provided me the opportunity to work on a variety of projects while learning from business and clinical leaders across the company. The breadth of the organization allowed me to experience several areas of HealthCare - from Clinic Operations to the Central Billing Office, and from Managed Care/Contracting & Payor Relations to Accounting/Finance.
