Pida Laisatruklai
2025 - Texas Woman's University
Background: Pida Laisatruklai was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Houston, and she graduated with her dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration from Texas Woman's University. During her undergraduate years, she began her healthcare journey as a medical assistant and medical receptionist at a family practice in North Houston. In this role, she gained hands-on experience in clinical operations and patient care. During graduate school, Pida served as a Health Advocate at Legacy Community Health, a FQHC serving diverse and underserved populations across the Houston area. In this role, she supported patients through care coordination, social determinants of health screening, and community resource navigation. Through this work, she gained firsthand experience in advancing equitable access to care within the community. She later completed an Emergency Management internship at UTMB Health, where she contributed to disaster preparedness, hazard mitigation, and healthcare continuity planning initiatives, strengthening her understanding of system-level operations and organizational resilience.
Abby Nitsch
2026 - Texas A&M University
Background: Abby Nitsch is a Houston, Texas native who attended Texas A&M University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Master of Health Administration. Her journey into healthcare administration began after she first learned about the field during the COVID-19 pandemic. After researching the field, she found her passion. While at Texas A&M, Abby combined her passion for Public Health and Health Administration by working for the Texas A&M Rural and Community Health Institute. There, she worked on a project with the USDA Rural Partners Network to help improve rural maternal health outcomes across Southern West Virginia and for the San Carlos Apache Tribe in Arizona. Through this project, Abby gained experience improving maternal health programs at rural hospitals and FQHCs while conducting local outreach and organizing community events. She also served as an Administrative Intern at Houston Methodist Coordinated Care where she learned about value-based care and accountable care organizations.
Elias Hansen
2026 – Trinity University, MHA
Background: Elias Hansen grew up in San Antonio, Texas and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management and Religion. He is completing a Master of Health Care Administration from Trinity University. Throughout his academic career, Elias explored roles in business development and operations management, with a particular focus in supporting the wellbeing of collegiate and professional athletes with the sports psychology coaching and education platform, MindReady. During his time at Trinity University, Elias worked as the Operations Manager for Nolan Practice Management, where he helped improve clinic efficiency and provided business management solutions for numerous small physician-owned practices through operational analysis and financial oversight. He also further explored healthcare through local community health outreach projects focused on improving social determinants of health through innovative resource network creation and national case competitions centered on major health system alignment.

Fellowship Experience: The Kelsey-Seybold fellowship provided me with the opportunity to understand what elements are needed to lead a large multi-specialty group practice.
